Trump Welcomes Relatives of Shot Guard Soldiers to White House

Former President Trump revealed on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the relatives of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the White House.

He mentioned that he spoke to her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

Information on the Heartbreaking Shooting

Specialist Beckstrom, twenty years old, was fatally shot in a attack on Wednesday in DC.

Her fellow service member, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in critical condition.

Vigils across West Virginia have occurred in their memory.

White House Invitation

The president said he’s discussed a visit to the White House for the parents of both individuals of the state National Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, arrive at the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” the president addressed journalists. “And in the same way with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Public Reaction

Attendees came together over the weekend at Webster County high school in the state to remember Beckstrom.

Both the soldiers had been working with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s federal initiative to assist law enforcement in DC.

Honoring the Soldier

“She was the individual that teachers wished for. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that lifted those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the principal of her previous school, informed the Associated Press. “She was kind, compassionate and always eager to help others.”

Funeral details for Sarah are in the process of planning.

Judicial Measures and Government Revisions

Law enforcement have accused a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of homicide and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

The tragedy led the administration to suspend asylum applications and cease granting entry permits to possessors of passports from Afghanistan.

Status of Andrew Wolfe

Wolfe, a resident of the city, enlisted in February 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, per the news agency.

He is still undergoing care and is “fighting for his life”, West Virginia governor Patrick Morrisey said on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

Attorney general Bondi stated on Fox News Sunday that she also intended to visit the family.

Memory of Sarah Beckstrom

Sarah, from her hometown, graduated from Webster County High in June 2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a MP with excellence, as stated by the military.

“She had a lot of compassion and she certainly had bravery,” Morrisey told the crowd at the service. “Though her time ended too soon, she has left a mark that’s going to endure.”
