Netflix Casts Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is set to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the real showdown isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed this week that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bentham. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that role reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the original manga and anime.
This performer joins a number of fresh additions tasked with bringing the group to the screen, including chief Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Though this character is a important part of the organization, the character won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the next season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a major departure in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could indicate more adjustments to the plot development.
