LA Explodes in Celebration as Los Angeles Dodgers Claim Second World Series Victory
The City of Angels witnessed widespread celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area events featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Online footage show thousands of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an interpreter.
The parade route concluded at the stadium, where the players walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

Celebrations began prior to the parade, with Dodgers fans setting off flares in the roads of the city center on the previous evening.
The World Series MVP, awarded the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented plainly about the victory.
“Losing is not an option,” he said. “I love the Dodgers. This city means everything to me.”
Mixed Reactions and City Unity
However, Mark Walter received a cooler welcome at the celebration. Recordings from the gathering appear to show him taking the stage to a combination of applause and jeers, with jeers punctuating his address.
The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate quarter-million people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, fans this year demonstrated equal or greater support.
