British Culture Secretary to Hold Talks on Maccabi Tel Aviv Supporters Prohibition
A police and crime commissioner from the central England region has called for an immediate reexamination of the ruling to prohibit the Israeli team's fans from being present at the forthcoming match.
The commissioner, who oversees the police department, states that this request aims to determine whether the prohibition is appropriate, essential, justified, sensible, and a balanced step to achieve a legitimate aim.
"That should involve consideration of all and any appropriate, other choices," Foster adds.
He has additionally asked to review the written decision and suggestion from the safety committee, as well as the police assessment.
The commissioner stresses, however, that the final decision rests with the advisory group and the authorities.
